The Virtuous Woman Travel & Fun

Book Review: The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Let me just say, this is the best book that I have read so far in 2015!  It was amazing!  This book was a roller coaster ride, a classic “who done it” type of book.  I am really hoping that there is a screen adaptation of this book because it has the makings of a great film.  The story is narrated in 1st person by 3 women, Megan, Rachel, & Anna.  One of the characters, Megan, is dead and the mystery of who killed her is being unraveled by Rachel, who is an unreliable source to anyone invested in the case because of her drinking problems.  Ana becomes a part of the story because she is the former mistress and current wife to Rachel’s ex-husband.  All 3 women’s lives meet at various points in the story to develop layers for stories and suspicions surrounding the murder of Megan.  If you are looking for a nice realistic mystery to read, look no further.  I can not tell you how much I enjoyed this book.
